Tips For Getting Rid Of Back Acne

Blog

Back acne is very frustrating because it can be both painful and embarrassing. Here are some tips for getting rid of back acne with products that you probably have in your home.

1. Use Baking Soda

One option is to make a paste out of baking soda. Baking soda is a natural exfoliant, which means that its texture is perfect for rubbing off the dead skin cells that are covering your body. Take three tablespoons of baking soda and a tablespoon of water. Mix them together in a small bowl until a dry paste is formed. Take the paste and start applying it to your back by starting at one shoulder blade and moving across your body. Rub in the baking soda in small circles so that any dead skin that you might have is loosened. If you need to make more of the paste, make more but keep a 3:1 ratio of baking soda to water. Finally, once your back is totally covered in the paste, lay on your stomach for a few minutes and allow it to sit. This will allow the baking soda to cleanse your pores. Finally, rinse off the baking soda with warm water.

You might need a friend to help you do this in order to make sure that you are able to adequately cover all of the parts of your back that have acne. Once you have rinsed off the baking soda, make sure that your moisturize. This method is excellent for helping prevent future acne breakouts because it cleanses your pores.

2. Oatmeal, Lemon, and Honey

Another option, if you find the baking soda to be too irritating, is to take a cup of dry oatmeal, a half of a cup of lemon juice, and a tablespoon of honey and mix them together in a bowl. This is going to form a sticky paste. Apply this paste in the same manner as described above to the areas of your back that have acne. The lemon juice will help dry out your acne, the oatmeal will sooth your acne, and the honey will help keep your skin from becoming irritated. This is a great way to get the acne that you already have to be reduced relatively quickly.

3. Onions and Cucumbers

Finally, you can use onions to help get rid of some of the scars that you might have on your back from the acne. To use onions, cut them up and grind them until you create a paste. Apply this paste to your back for a few minutes. Rinse it off with water. Take cucumber slices to moisturize your back by rubbing them until they've lost all of their juice on your back.
